Oscars are here!

Ok before I talk about one of my favorite subjects Movies, I first have to post my latest creation. Here is a Spring Basket:

I made it last night after finding a Huge bag of Millinery flowers...... I am having a hard time putting it in my shop.... darn!

My Daughter and some little flowers coming back to life in our backyard....  Thanks for all the kind thoughts on My Sunday blues... It is only in the afternoon and not that bad......... I am a happy person almost all of the time. You Blog friends sure are sweet!! Ok Oscars are here!!! Ohhhh I usually have a small Oscar party at my house with just the girls. I couldn't get it together this year, too many things going on. I see most of the movies by Oscar time, but wow did I miss everything except Little Miss Sunshine! What a great Movie! If you are not interested in watching this movie, please just watch it for the dance scene alone!! Ohh I can watch it anytime and just laugh and want to dance!! That little girls is the best! Greg Kinnear is one of my favorite people and so is Steve Carell.... So I guess I can say I am going for this feel good movie! I am a big Movie buff..... Here are My Favorite movies 1. The Godfather 2. Gandhi 3. Breakfast at Tiffany's 4. When Harry met Sally 5. American Beauty 6. Terms of Endearment 7. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (just to stare at those 2 alone) 8. The Killing Fields 9. The Color Purple 10. Manhattan       That's just the first 10 ...... wayyy more to mention. Ok I was thinking of the Scenes that make me cry every single time I watch them and here are the top 4: 1. The scene in Terms of Endearment where Debrah Winger just dies and Shirley McClain starts saying " I am so stupid , I thought that when she went I would be relieved, but its the hardest thing" Ohhh I get tears just thinking about it! 2. Shindler's List , I cant just sit there watching without a lump in my that (In fact, when I saw it at the Theater I had to leave because I was crying so hard) 3. The scene in Steal Magnolias where Sally Field is losing it at the Funeral in front of her friends and she says " I want to know why ..... you know the rest....4. In the Killing fields at the end where they hug each other after so many years apart and Prawn says " nothing to forgive" and the song Imagine comes on........ Ohhhh what a tear fest for me!! Ok now Happy scenes: 1. Any part of When Harry met Sally, but the end when she is describing the cake with the sauce on the side...... too funny! 2. American Beauty.... where Annete comes in and asks who's car is in front of the house and Kevin Spacey says " its a 1970 Pontiac Firebird its the car Ive always wanted and now I have it.. I Rule!  oooh this one has me laughing! There are sooo many happy feel good scenes I could take as long as the Oscar show to right them! I hope everyone is having a Good Oscar day!!!

So much to share today!

Wow where did the week go?? Friday Art night ! But first I have to share my finds this week and boy are they good, I cant even contain myself!!! This is a Vintage Hat with the perfect hat stand, My daughter! In fact I think it will be perfect for her for Easter! I paid 8 dollars for it.... That Vintage silk flower with the pink velvet ribbon is to die for!  Ohh I have just gotten started!  I went into this Antique mall, that is over-priced but they know me by first name.. ( I am there wayyy too often) they always give me a heads up on new things and new vendors... Well this lady has forever ruined me! Her prices are Flea Market Studio prices!  here is what I bought:  A 1904 Stereograph, you know the ones where you put pictures and they look 3-D? Almost like a cool Viewfinder! Wow! I also got all the pictures for a dollar each! I spent too much money on this thing 50 dollars, but wow, Ive never seen anything like it!  While I was there I picked up these:                                                      

Let see maybe 28 vintage hankies 25 cents each, 3 cabinet photos 2 dollars each, a German bisque 1.50, cards and postcards were 1 dollar each.........

And I also found this beauty:

I also couldn't forget my daughter, stopped at a Thrift Store and found this for 1.99:

I spent the week working on a couple projects  and working on some more pages of my daughter's junque book. Here is one and some Tags I made for my Flea Market Studio Etsy 

                                                            

The Sunday Blues.......

  I am not a Sunday person it makes me sad. It always has...... We could not live with my Mother when I was little so she would pick me and my brother up on the Weekends and drop us back at my Aunt's house every Sunday evening..... I would just sit and watch her leave with tears streaming down my face. Ive tried to make a fun ritual, like take a morning walk with my Family to the park, but it never fails........ come Sunday evening I am just blue.... Oh well. Here are some of things that are making me happy right now:

That's right its Jack........ Who would have thought an 80's Villain could have stolen my heart! Yes, my hubby knows about it along with My Sean Connery obsession! Now I know why they call it 24! I am addicted 24/7...... I am finally caught up with all Seasons and already miss putting them into my Zune.

My Daughter and My wonderful Dog Nikko! I don't take enough pictures of that boy! He is so Amazing!!!  The other day I was reading Stacy's Blog and it reminded me to not take our Animals for granted...... I don't know what I would do without my boy!

Oh here is something I am not good at...... SQUARES!

My friend Lia challenged me to do 1 inch squares on our Friday night Challenge... Lets just say this is not my thing, but if you go to her blog...... she is a Pro!

It's a little Junque book I have been working on for my Daughter. I play in it every once in a while...... There is soo much more I need to do to these pages, but it is fun to have a book with no theme and to just play in . Hope everyone had a great Weekend!

Flea Market Studio is having a Garage Sale!

Ohhh what a week! Valentines Day was so wonderful! I love to give gifts! Especially to those I love! I also cleaned out the Studio and put more things on my ETSY. What work! Listing and selling are not my strong points! I love to create and it sure takes up your whole day adding things to sell on your Etsy. I also love being a Teacher on Valentines, the children make me so many homemade Valentines cards they are sooo cute! Here are some of my Favorite cards:

Oh lets see what else ? Went Thrift shopping with my friend Liz. She is soo sweet! I showed her where I like to go and we had lunch at my yummy Mexican food place called Sylvia's. This is what I found:                                                      

That birdcage was the score at 12.99! It is sprinkled with antique gold glitter! If you look on my Flickr I will post how much I paid for each find.

On Valentines my Daughters teachers received these:

Homemade Scones and what else? Chocolates!! Hope everyone had a Great Valentines!XOXO!

The Lemonade Stand was a success!

Give a pretty little girl some Lemons and put her at a stand and......... 68 dollars later! We had popcorn, chocolate chip cookies, honey buns and Fresh Lemonade... Amazing how many people will bribe their kids with snacks while they shop. Ive been known to do that myself.  Who cant resist a lemonade stand??

Wow, The Garage sale wasn't too shabby of a success either... If only it didn't take so much out of us! This pretty much sums up how we felt at the end of the day:

Everybody's working for the Weekend!

Remember that song? It should say "Everyone is working on the Weekend"... Busy, busy, busy! Sending out these egg nest postcards today............ Getting ready for a Garage sale tomorrow...... making a lemonade Stand for my Daughter...........Shipping out orders......... making class samples..........cleaning the house......... making dinner..........I am exhausted writing it all!!  I am so glad I had a much needed visit from my good friend Kat and her daughter Grace......

I met Kat on line 2 years ago and I am so Grateful for her Friendship! She has 2 daughter's and she is pregnant with get this......TWINS!!! There are going to be 2 more beautiful children in this world!  I dint know how that tiny girl is going to carry twins..... Anyone know where to find a triple stroller??? ha ha!

I cant figure out what to put in that blank space! I am terrible at journaling! Its driving me crazy!

Ohhhh I better get back to sorting, pricing, making lemonade, and cleaning out the Garage!  I am dreading those early birds! Happy Friday!

Feeling Colorful........

A Vintage Teacup full of Chocolate Heart Pops........ I just love these!!  They are also very yummy (had 3 today!). This chocolate things is getting a little bit out of control!! I think I have around 5 lbs of Chocolate in my house as we speak! And as I am writing I think it went down to 4 1/2.....  I added more Wine Bottle totes to my ETSY.  I also wanted to note that if you don't drink wine, you can use them to put cookies, treats, popcorn, and goodies or use it as a Mini Time Capsule. Thank you for all the wonderful comments on them and the e-mails! Wow, I didn't know they were going to go so fast! Thanks to my Flickr Friends!! I got a little productive last night and took out all my Vintage Seam Binding out of their packages and Ironed them. I hate Ironing with a passion! I think it took 2 hours.. But the result is well .... you have to see for yourself!  I hung them on these Vintage hangers that have clothespins on them......

What a Job, but worth it! Now I can see them and finally use them. Ohhh to one day be organized........ Is it possible??? I am off to stare at my ribbons..............xoxo

Very productive day....

Finally put some things on my Etsy. Feeling a little productive..... Beautiful weekend, great football Game , Prince still has it and I got a little Art done. Worked on these Wine Bottle Totes......... 

Also made a new Sign for the Studio!

It is a Giant sign! I just had to use that Image! I also got this in the mail today!

the Best ATC swap!Oh-so Charming ACT swap  The ACT's are so pretty! It came with the best goodies!! I just love Swaps! Off to post some more things on ETSY......

What a beautiful Day!

According to the Groundhog, Spring will start early this year... Makes me a little nervous...... Here in Arizona that is not good news! Our winter's are beautiful, and the last thing we need is to have Spring start so soon........ it is going to be a brutal summer! Thank goodness for air conditioned Antique malls! This weeks finds are wonderful! Vintage sheet music 1.50 each, the vintage giant spools are 2 dollars each, the Vintage boxes are 1 dollar each, the birdies were 2 dollars for the bag, the cute vase for Valentines flowers was 2 dollars, the little vintage -shabby looking purse was 1.40 (for my daughter),  the vintage ledger was 2 dollars for a huge pack, And the best find of all...... the vintage sewing basket was 5 dollars! Fun fun fun! Made some more Valentine Decor for my home  this week!  here they are:
