Good times with a good friend....

Well My friend Mendy is gone.... we had such a great time together! She had to buy 2 old suitcases to take home with her to put all of the Flea Market Junk we bought! Here they are filled,tagged and ready to go back to Texas! Miss her already! By the way her suitcases were 2 dollars a piece.... she will alter them later. he he! Ok, remember when I was going to complain about the heat?? well its here ...... 115 today!! Can only think about the good things like this........... Ahhhhhh French Pink-Rose sparkling Lemonade..... yum! Think I will buy a case for the Bridal Shower next month.....

Well Ive been working on a couple of things today...... I am updating my Etsy shop here is a peak of what is going up tomorrow:

So Busy but yet so happy....

I am writing to you from my new Baby!
So happy but wow what a change from a PC to a Mac.. and a laptop at that. I also have a good friend in town, my online friend Mendy. We met up with the sweetest girls, Michelle and Helle. We hung out and went to lunch on Sunday before their long drive back to San Diego. Ive also been taking Mendy around to my favorite spots. Here are a couple of shots of all of us:

Classes.. Daddy's Day and more......

Ohh what a week! Had such a great class on Saturday! The sweetest ladies..... and we stayed in a cool place and played! Here are my class Goody Packs.... and some pictures of the some girls in the class...... fun fun fun!

Ive never had a little girl in my class before, it was so nice! I will be teaching at The Frenzy Stamper Saturday Morning , if you click on the link you can see the class sample. After class, later that evening my good Friend Mendy is coming! I cannot contain myself! Looking forward to meeting this Texan in person! And last thing...... I hope my hubby had a great Father's Day...... he is easy, he just wanted Juevos Rancheros and to spend time with us.... a far cry from what I usually want..... Peace and quiet and some alone time. What a Dad! Love that man! here are some pictures of him and my Daughter........ his Mexican breakfast (see I told you he thinks he's Mexican)

Cleaning Day..........

  This is one of my favorite pictures of my Daughter.... I took it last year. She loves to clean like I do...... good thing too! We are cleaning all day today! Talked to my good friends  Amy and Lia yesterday and today and guess what they are doing? That's right cleaning their Art Studios! I mean really are we ever done? Poor Ames, she has wayyyyyy too much Fabulous stuff, how can anyone get rid of any of that beautiness??? (my fave new word, not in the dictionary) and Lia.... she does what I do, creates as we clean! But this time I have to get serious! My friend Mendy is coming next week! and she cannot possibly look at this mess! here are some pictures of the chaos! Also some pictures of my daughter cleaning, sun tea for energy and a dog not having any part of it!

Some fun things Ive found along the way.....

Ok, I missed my cool Thrift Stores while I was gone...... went yesterday and found some fun things! I did get a chance to go thrifting in LA LA Land with the best Thrift-pal ever.... My brother! The great thing about going with him is he goes one way and I go the other..... we are almost always finished at the same time. He finds vintage records... mostly retro-funk and vintage Latin. He is amazing at what he does! He still DJ's from time to time, but that collection of records! Wow, if I could just get my  paws on them to sell on Ebay I would feel like that lady in 40 year-old Virgin! Here are a couple of things that I found in LA.....

The old photographs are from Melrose trading Post they were all 1 dollar each.... the vintage child's suitcase was 2.99 at a Goodwill.... the vintage tin was 2 dollars, and the vintage jewel case was 2 dollars (I use them to store art supplies). When I go to visit my Mom , there is this Japanese Market Place that has the best food! It has a mini mall inside and a food court! Usually for lunch I get a Bento Box for 5.25 filled with Yummy chicken, sticky rice, Miso soup and Tempura Veggies! They also make this delicious green tea and asked if they sell it and they do! I love it! Bought 4 boxes of the stuff! I also found these cute parasols 15 of them to be exact at one of my other favorite Stores Maruakai. It is a Japanese dollar store...... These were 1.50 each. Here is what I found yesterday at my Thrift Stores and why I love them here in AZ....

the tins were 1 dollar each, the fabric and lace was 1 dollar each, the Napkins were 75 cents, the chicken candy container was 2.99, the Flashcards were 50 cents, and the pictures were 10 cents each..... In the basket are a huge bag of vintage cards for 1 dollar for the whole bag! I also went next door at Mystic Paper and found the wooden box for 5.50 and the vintage tin for 1.50! Ok, now off to get my class Packs ready for my class at Mystic Paper on Saturday! Hope everyone is staying cool, it is supposed to be 108 today........ waaaaaa!

Great store! Sanford and Son called Mary and they said they want thier car back! Just kidding Mary! It is Mary's car and it is soooo adorable! Ok, so when is everyone going to this store? Love it! Thanks girls for making me feel at home!

So happy to be home! The weather is not too bad .....yet! So much to do today, but wanted to share a couple of photos from the trip...... The first ones are from The Melrose trading Post, it is a Flea Market that happens every Sunday at Fairfax High School (you know, the school that the Jackson 5 went to)... great buys and fun times with My brother , his girlfriend Emily and my cousin , just walking distance from my Cousin's place, from there we went shopping at Melrose. these are the first batch for now, more later...

Still Here........

So Much to tell but sadly no photos. My Mom's computer was down. Decided to look for a laptop. Everyone is trying to talk me into a Powerbook G4. Went to the Mac store at the Promenade in Santa Monica, got overwhelmed and left. It is kind of like buying a new car. In other news, Went to Sweet Peas and Snapshots and met the best ladies ever! Can Mary be any prettier and sweeter??? and Suzi Finer that lady just makes me smile, she is a crack up! My pal Dede met me at Sweetpeas with her adorable grandson Ethan. This store is sooo adorable..... I mean really really adorable! And I get to  teach here on July 7th!! Yay! The other date is yet to be determined....... but I cannot wait ! So so happy about this, I come to California at least 8 times a year because my family lives here.... now I can teach here also!! I wish I had pictures to show you about the store and the sweetest people Ive met........ I think it will be photo overload when I get home on Sunday. Saturday morning I am going to attempt to do the paddle out for my friend Andy's memorial....... A paddle out is where all of us take surfboards and paddle out and send flowers into the ocean..... all of our friends from Spyder Surfboards will be there... just a bittersweet event. I miss my friend so much........ On that note, if you are in town it would be funny to see me attempt that paddle out! Water-logged and all.... and ohh so not graceful on that surfboard! I sure miss my home.......... cant wait to get back to 108 degree weather........ Hey its home right??? Hope all is well everyone......... cant wait to hear what everyone has been up to! hugs-Lilia
