A couple of Art Pages for the day......

 

What a crazy summer. Lots of things happening in my Life right now. I mean Life changing things. It doesn't seem like it at this time, but it is all good. It always is. Had a little time to work on a Giant Altered book for Darianne......... it's about 10x15.  It's a challenge for me. I do better with a smaller canvas. I think I am going to call it her "Pink" book, because it seems to be the theme. It sure feels good filling up her books. Kindergarten........ it's here. makes me a little sad. I am also enjoying every little thing about her. Like this for instance:  She came out with this little outfit and told me that she added the belt because it needed something pretty. Loving it.......... Loving her.

*Admiring  my lawn and knowing that I mowed it

*My Art world and Art friends

*Back to school supplies..... I feel like a kid again!

*Cool School uniforms.....going to make my mornings much easier

*Perfecting a Coconut Ice Box cake.....It took a while but I think I got it!

*Doing everything on the "to Do List"

* Using my herbs from my little herb garden in a recipe

*Mother nature giving us a little break from the unbearable heat

*Being alive and healthy in this beautiful Country

And so many other little things that are overlooked and underappreciated........ but we are reminded of when unfortunate events happen ........like the 4 men in that tragic accident over Phoenix last Friday..... God Bless them......

Well back and ohh soo tired....

This is the  view from my friend Laurie's house. Boy do I love that beach.... sigh...... disappointed in Mathew though, let's just say he is not the cleanest guy and leave it at that.... he still is gorgeous though. The "Hoff" (David Hasselhoff) moved a couple doors down next to Heather Locklear and we saw the new famous couple laying out (Heather and Jack Wagner). That's the report from Malibu.......... now back to my Home and about that Bachlorette party! Tired, tired tired! I am paying for a long night out with the sun coming up as we were getting driven home! I can't remember the last time I saw the sun coming up from a night of going out! Lots of dancing and fun! I came home and got so busy, school is starting in 2 weeks! Teacher work-days in 1 week! I have been doing the crazy shopping for school stuff found this cute Retro-style Metal lunch box at Big Lots for 5 dollars......... how cute is that?

I started getting a little sad that my Daughter is starting Kindergarten........ So I worked on a couple of pages in her Baby Album:

Well back to everyday life here in Arizona...... Boy do I miss that Malibu........... I can only Dream.............

Shower goodies.....

Here are some of the little things Ive been working on for the shower on Saturday. Little handmade Lily of the Valley Sachets, and some gift tags......

I made a tank top with a picture of my cousin when she was a little girl holding a bouquet of flowers..... I think I am going to have to make a Matron of honor one for me , then we can wear them together........

I have been working on so many things all week and cant wait for this event! Limo is going to pick the girls up for a crazy night on the town In LA........ Me in and a limo is a scary thing! Here are some more things for her:  A Bridal book made out of a Vintage Wedding book... all decorated and re-done inside....

and the last little gift I made was last night: a Take-out Menu Holder......

Glad I can make these goodies inside, it is 114 today! I know I am crazy but I was craving some tomato basil soup with sourdough bread, boy do I miss Winter! Here is my lunch: Hope all is well......

What I have been up to....

Signed a New contract for A Teaching position at a New Montessori School......  very exciting, but also change makes me a little nervous. I loved where  I have worked for 3 years...... but sometimes you just have to move on..........

Working on Bridal Shower Prettiness....

Here is a Vintage Jewelry Box, that I transformed into a Bridal Box, a Crown for My cousin to wear out for the Bachlorette and a Vintage Wedding Album...... all for the Bride.......... Wow On top of getting a new Job, this is a full time job (but this is soo fun)

  What's inside the Bridal Box........ 2 Packs of Vintage Shower Thank You cards, A Vintage Garter, Forget Me Nots and a Vintage Wedding Cake Topper for the cake in the Freezer for next Year (all cleaned and Washed of course!)

  And Last but not least! Here are the Red Velvet Cupcakes served at SweetPeas and Snapshots! Wow 21 people signed........and the Day went by wayyyyyy too fast! These ladies were so inspiring and Amazing! Thanks girls for making me feel at home and also Thank you to Mary, Pauline and my Assistant Claire, I couldn't have run the class without you!!! Thank you Sweetpeas, I will be back in the Fall to Teach again for sure! Boy do I miss those cupcakes!!!!

Hello, just a little update.........

Have to put off putting things on Etsy, I am in California. Just a couple of bumps in the road of Life lately, but making it through. Wanted to say hi to everyone....... and if you are taking my class this Saturday, I cant wait to meet you all! Looking forward to it......... hugs!
