Spent the day at the beach on this hot day! My friends said we brought the AZ weather with us when we moved. Little do they know what hot really means! here are some pictures from the day....

Those Little Miss Peachtree undies are in pristine condition and the box of 2 were 5 dollars...lots of Victorian scrap...couldn't leave that booth the guy kept giving me deals, Alice had to drag me away! anyways wanted to share and Hope everyone has a Happy Friday!
Had one of those weeks.... you know the kind . One day fantastic, one day horrible , one day calm , at this point I want off the ride. Well, it ended great...... This is what is sitting in our driveway as I write...
Had to turn our ex-terrible in because it was a lease. Horrible experience with that thing. Not looking forward to wheeling and dealing for a car. Started the week with some awful offers, by Thursday I didn't care what I got as long as I could rely on it. I was not going to do another SUV with the crazy amount we are paying at the pump. Well lets just say we got a great deal! 2008 Chrysler Sebringconvertible. Paying wayyy less than we were with the old car. I must say, pretty fun to have the top down in Cali. Love it. Who wants a ride? Lets see, spent the day at the Long Beach Flea Market with my friend Alice.. had to share something she made! It is a brilliant idea!
It is a plate with a glass candle holder on the bottom. Isn't it beautiful? She gave it to me, and I thought wow, I wonder where she found something so beautiful and she told me she made it! OK, adding that to my list of things to make. Thanks Alice. Love that lady. I will share what we found at the Flea in a later post. Also had to share what my friend Mendy made for me for Dariannes Birthday... 
She is getting so good at soldering! I am terrible at it. It is always so rough around the edges. Hers is so perfect! I have some very talented friends. Thank you girls!
So about a month ago this German magazine contacted me to do a article on my website. I had to share, because I cannot understand a thing. too funny. All I can read is my name. They are very generous people though and so nice to work with, so don't turn down international magazine offers.... you just wont be able to read the article.
I had a funny story to share about my cousin Claire. Made me laugh so much. She was at Starbucks Saturday morning. She was in line 6 people back, she sees this guy in a wheel chair having a hard time trying to open up the door to get in. My cousin cannot believe no one is helping this poor man. So she goes and holds the door open for him he says "thank you, God bless you" and goes in with the wheel chair. At this point my cousin is feeling real good about herself for doing this. That is until she sees the man park his wheel chair by the side, stand up and walk over to order his coffee!! She cannot believe her eyes... and feeling so dumb she is trying to figure out if anyone saw the whole thing and the funny thing is no one was even paying attention! .... Too funny!! I laughed so hard..... I am wondering if it is one of those shows where they set people up like that and film them.... I would have said something to the man. She is still confused at what happened! Well, I am off to spend some Sunday night dinner with my little family.... here are pictures of the pages in the book class at Sweetpeas this Saturday. 
How can it be Sunday already?? I cannot believe how fast the weekend goes by. Too fast! Spent Saturday morning Thrifting with my favorite Thrift Partner little D. I scored again! The same ones we went to a couple of weeks ago. Its funny the places we didn't find things the last time, I scored at and the ones I did find things... nothing. Like a box of chocolates you might say...never know what your gonna get. I finally put some packs that Ive been owing forever to some web friends! They are going out tomorrow. Spent the day with my Sister in law and her husband. They were in town and we had so much fun! It was 92 here in Cali! Had pitchers of margaritas and took a stroll down the beach..........how can you go wrong on the beach???? Love it. Here are some finds

Those elegant vintage lady images were the best find! 17 of them for 2 dollars! They can be framed and will be for my vintage shabby bathroom! I also love the vintage card game! Well I am loving it here. Found a friend that I adore. Her name is Alice. Ive known her on-line for a while and met her back in Phoenix. Well, I just adore her! She is the sweetest person. I also enjoy her company. She is so giving. Next post I will show you what she brought to me and for Darianne at Dariannes Tea Party. Yay! I miss my friend Kat so much... but so happy I have a new Art friend to hang out with here in Cali. Next week we are headed to the Flea Market. My friend Lia and I are doing another book together and a big swap. Love to do art with this girl! Here is the cover of the book I am working on for the collaboration:

Wanted to share some more of the Tea Party....
Details Details Details..... Lots of things going on here.....The water bottles are decorated with vintage wallpaper and have Alice in Wonderland stickers on them.... the vintage milk glass bowels are filled with pink bubble gum balls and pink malt balls.... the chairs have pink tutu's , princess wands and vintage hats to play dress up... The silver tray held items for them to remember for a game we were playing....played musical chairs to "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast.....one of the best things to do at a party is to have take out boxes or bags so the guest can take leftovers home (less for you to clean and take home with you) Love this picture of one of my Best friend's little girl drinking from her Tea cup.....Also took a picture of all the dolls that were brought to the party....so fun!
