Spring Cleaning and Lots of Art!

I had to share this picture of Darianne first.. Love it. She was sick on Friday.. kind of scary. Anything to do with her stomach Freaks me out . She had appendicitis when she was 2.. Love to see that she is healthy and that she is happy. Spent the Day with friends yesterday... but needed to finish my Spring Cleaning! From the studio(yay almost finished and ready to show it!) to the car.. a weekend that needed to happen. Feeling guilty because the weather is too perfect. Had to share the stuff that just makes me want to clean! This Meyers Clean day in Lavender..... Yum!! The house smells so wonderful and good for the environment. Not cheap though. Who cares right? Its got me cleaning thats all that matters. Spent hours in the Studio Friday night.. ohh till about 3:30, thats in the A.M. to you and me.. not even close to being done. but wanted to share my vintage tins that are holding so many goodies. Spent a little time doing some much needed Art . My next Class is Fabulous Flocked Follies at SweetPeas and Snapshots . Here is the sample : It is at the New Location on Abbot Kinney and on June 21st! So excited!! Even if you don't take the class you are going to have to break this place in with me!!  I also made lots of stuff for My Flea Market Studio Shop... Lots of tags, hand-flocked papers and much more and many things are going up all this week...... yay I'm back doing what I love. Needed a little break. to the Location of the New Sweetpeas Store!!  I have not had such a better time and laughed so much!! We went to see the location in VENICE.....Oh my has this place changed! It has to be one of the most happening spots around. We were there from 11:30 till about 4:30. Walked up and down the street and toasted with some pink champagne...this woman brings the CHER out in me and even before the first glass. Not many people can do that! Mary is going to transform this place into a petite Palace fit for a Paperie Princess! Here is the before shot: Love it......Wait till those Shabby and Chic Mary hands get a hold of this place! I will let you know more details as they come.... but Venice? so cool. I Love L.A.!

While we were gone for the day, our little Girls spent some time together. This is what we came home to: Teacher Eliza's classroom. They were playing school. And look at one of the students counting the minutes until school is out!  too funny! The dogie sat there the whole time. So glad these girls like each other, because I have a feeling they will be hanging out alot more together! Here are some more shots of them and on the next post I will show you Mary's house. Hello...

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day... the most underrated profession in the world..! Spent the day with My Mom , her husband and little D. My hubby had to work, it is the the busiest day of the year at the ChartHouse.  This is my Mom with little D. Love it when they snuggle! Made some Strawberry Shortcake... Good times. I am feeling like a Florist lately... I made the petite bouquets for the Flea Market Studio Shop . I am so into flowers these days. Must be a Mothers Day thing. I wanted to share a picture of the cutest little guy..his Mom said it was OK to post him. this is him at our Mothers Day tea at school.... Didn't I tell you he was cute?? This is my little guy Kevin. You know the one I told you about a while back, the one with the diaper? I adore this guy! He is too funny! Look at his Sears sucker suit! His Mom has him posing his "GQ Look" ....... He calls it "kids Q"....What a difference a day makes right?Love it. That is all for now, just leaving you with a book I am working on that is sitting on the top of my desk at the moment calling my name..... hugs

What Ive been up to....

Happy Cinco de Mayo... a little late. I know. Needed to rest and take in the fun times I had this past weekend. Felt like I took a trip around the world. Friday night was a blast at Sweetpeas! Kim at Artistic Bliss had the girls over and Mary put on a spectacular night! All India.... food was so delicious and the Mango Martinis......well you know they hit me when I started my ridiculous Cher routine! Woke up with Henna tattoos all over! So fun! Went to Kim's home and met some amazing and talented ladies! Wow, wish I could have taken some of those classes......they looked spectacular! Sunday we spent the day at my cousin's house celebrating Cinco de Mayo... the only 2 in the family that actually celebrate. and yes we are Mexican! She made the most amazing Sangria! As you can see this is 5 minutes after it was served! Viva Mexico! Not all fun and games, spent half the day in the kitchen making enchiladas....maybe 50?? My Mom laughed when I told her I was helping to cook, she said "its allot of work". I snickered at the time, guess she knows what shes talking about! Too many fiestas under her belt....you think?  Paying the price for the weekend.. how did I go to school and go out 4 times a week in my 20's?? no kid.... no hubby... no responsibility......I get it..    I don't want to grow up!

Ive been trying to get the studio in order. Having a little trouble. There is a huge futon in the office...... Hubby refuses to get rid of it. All it does is hold all our stuff! He asked me what I wanted for Mothers Day and I told him I want the futon out of the office....we will see if my wish comes true...    I played with a little Art tonight for the first time in a very long time........here are some things that I came up with......  

The first one is a bouquet of vintage and new millinery.... picked them up from all over the studio while cleaning up....came up with a little bouquet. The 2nd picture is of my "you little doll" book but in pink. I am selling it if anyone is interested. I sold 4 kits after my class and have 2 more left just e-mail me at [email protected]. The 3rd photograph is one of my baby journal pages and the last one is of 2 dollar store journals re-done and decorated Flea Market Studio style. Gotta love that Dollar store! Bye for now.
