Thats right! I love Swaps..... Here are some things going out Today....   

 

They make me so Happy...... I also wanted to share the best Sauce ever! For Superbowl, why serve the regular old buffalo wings? Marinate those bad boys in this Rasberry chipotle sauce and have extra for dipping......... serve with blue cheese dressing (the real kind) and some carrot and jicama sticks.......... I promise they are tastey!

 

I also wanted to tell you about a little project Ive had on my mind for a while now...... so inspired by 3191 a year of mornings if you have not seen this blog......... please go there now! Do you ever kick yourself and wonder why didnt I think of that? It wasnt meant to be I guess and who could have done it better? I always love Saturday at 3 pm..... it is my favorite time ever! I am doing my own experiment by documenting every Saturday at 3pm.. I will post them on my flickr..... here are the past 2 Saturdays......

Joli-Pauqet!

  So excited about doing these kits for Joli-pauqet! Cerri has asked me to do this a while back, but got so tied up during the Holidays...They go on sale ..... now! I cannot believe I am blogging this much lately... I felt like I really had nothing to talk about for a while there. Then I realized.. that I dont really think people come to my blog for my writing...... not very good at it. I think more for the pictures. Well here are a couple more from my week in Art:

What a Sunday....

So nice to see the Under Dog team go to the Super Bowl! Ive been to many of those games in the Arizona heat.... to see them lose many times...  Not this time! They have never won a Super Bowl. I will always root for the Under dog..  I have to tell you that it was 75 today.. Sorry for the friends that are under all that snow. These are the flowers on my porch....  Those pots are from the 99 cent store.

I have spent the Weekend going to the park with Darianne and cleaning in between. Did I mention some more Art? I found this collage I did of Darianne a while back , the heart reminded me of Valentines day and decided to hang it on the tiny hanger. 

I also made a little banner for her room.....

Also working on some Valentines Day swaps...

and decorated a little here is a 3 tier metal basket with all my Vintage Valentines... Love them...   I also had a little update on my Thai cooking ...... Those Thai chilis will have you coughing up a lung... and I mean while I was cooking them, not eating them. I came to conclusion that it Thai food is delicious but dangerous!  I can also tell you what else is dangerous... yes Darianne. She bit a boy at school.... I asked her why and she said he was not letting her go and was going to take her to a "remote" location..... what do I tell her? Cant blame her for fighting a kid with his hands on her but Mommy has been watching too much Dateline while she is around...

Lots of Happy Hearts.....

  Love Valentines Day so much! Little Happy fabric hearts I am working on for some Valentines Day swaps!

 lets just call them happy hearts! What is it about this little Holiday? Being happpy, being in Love. The weather is amazing right now.. My walks are getting me in the best mood.. I have 2 lb weights with me now... threw my shoulder out. Too funny about how it happend... I was bragging to my Hubby about what a difference it has made in my walks... now I cant even pick anything up! Thats what I get for bragging!

Felt good about one of my New Year's to do's. Yes I attempted to cook Thai food and in my little journey..... I found a new favorite blog... I had to share!! It is called Chez Pim  This site is just amazing.... she has step by step cooking recipes with pictures! She is also so witty... I got a food processor from Santa..... the mini food prep by cuisinart   love how small it is and fits on my counter. How did I live without one of these? As I put the onions in,  it made me think of my friend Alice, when we went to skid row to feed the homeless and how they put her on the onion cutting for 2 hours! Poor thing! And guess who served them? Me thats who! What a experience........ next weekend I will be going again. Been creating some Valentines Art for the Home. Lots of wall hangings and door hangers. On the move to California.. I lost a box of my Valentines Decor.. well good thing it was mostly things I made.   That little cupid is me, working on some Valentines Art Journals...... I guess you can say I am back having Art fun again. Felt like I lost some of it for a while there. Too much  going on in my Life...... I needed to slow down and play. Thats when I am happiest. Dont get me wrong, I do still have new items listed on my Flea Market Studio Etsy Store and I am teaching Febuary 7th at Paper Tales in San Diego...... but sometimes you do have to PLAY! Just to play..... nothing else. Speaking of which...... I have to share a Art Journal Ive been working on for a while now.....    I know, a little crazy... and so different from my usual style, but I think that is why I like it.... I will share more later...I  am having a give away next post... hugs to you !

Goodbye 2008..

 A view from Malibu, California as the  Sun sets in 2008. Mixed feelings about 2008. So many highs and lows...I cant wait for 2009.  I just love the new year... fresh start. I have made a little list of to do's in 2009. I love to write things down and cross them off at the end of the year. Makes me stay focused. I started the day with putting away all the Christmas decorations and cleaning everything in sight. Felt so good, fresh start.. love it. I also did some Valentines Day Art. One of my Favorite Holidays. There is a new book coming Called Somerset in Love.                  I am so excited about this book! Marilyn put this together and it turned out to be a publication. Thank you Marilyn, your talent always amazes me. I will be teaching a Book class at Paper Tales in San Diego. February 7th. More details to come. It will be the same techniques I used in the Somerset in Love book. Here are the little Valentine pages I made today:  getting me in the mood for Valentines Day! Well good things coming this year.....  Going to Arizona, so need to go and pack... I cannot wait for the sun to start setting later than 4:50. The days are too short. I am also listing new items in my ETSY store . I will add more when I get back from AZ. Happy new Year!
