I worked on some Valentine Art this weekend. I love Valentines Day.. Found cones at Michaels on clearance for .80 cents each. I snatched them up. I made 4 and will use the rest for Easter or Birthdays. Here are my creations.
I also worked on a Valentine Art Journal. Its a ROD journal.. this was so fun..

New Journal.... so inspired by Mary Ann Moss.. Bought her class online Full Tilt Boogie and her awesome labels.. so fun!! I needed this.. Ive been so blah on Art lately and uninspired. This was just the online class I needed! here is more from this journal and then I will show you my Portland journal.. The image was bought on ETSY.. love her! The binding was a little hard for me.. but it was my first one, and she did say to practice the binding technique.. but I didnt.. should have listened.

Happy Birthday Simone Elise!! My niece is 2!! I have been moving for the past month. Wow, glad that is done!! Completely different feel to the new Home. Studio is getting set up. I got rid of so many things! I will share studio when its done. I finally got around to doing some Art. I made a Vintage Style Birthday book for my adorable little niece. Boo to you!! This little guy is a Dollar Tree item. He was very plain looking.. The paint was very bright, it had to be toned down.. I added vintage crepe paper and vintage sheet music hat. One of my favorite things to do is change up Dollar store items to make them look like I spent some money on them. The great thing about only paying a dollar for something, is that if you mess up its not that big of a deal.. you also will use that item instead of hoarding something vintage and valuable you are afraid to use. I also get enough for my friends! Here is a flocked Dollar Tree crow...

A Hello Kitty Travel toothbrush for my D.. and Vintage style Kitchen dish towels .... Yeah Baby.. makes me happy. What else makes me happy, great friends! Since Ive been done with school, I told myself Girlfriend time was going to be priority as is Family time... My secret show I watch is the Jersey Shore, don't even ask why I like this show.. but I do.. and so do my friends! I had The girls over for a Shore party.. Love these girls!!
They make me smile...They make me happy.. I am so grateful. Now to get them over to make Halloween Crafts.. I miss teaching Art classes.. I might have to call a couple of Scrapbook stores and see if I can Teach before the year is over... I hope everyone is filled with great Friends, Art and of course Wine... xoxo
Hello Friends!... I finally got around to actually doing some Art. All my friends know I love Halloween! I did not do anything for the Holiday last year. Not this year! I am looking forward to it! I wanted to make a Spooky Halloween book, one of those scary ones... Its very vintage style. I wanted a book with lots of spooky images, where you feel like at any moment a Ghost will pop out of it. Very sinister and Wicked. It is generally not my typical style. I love vintage cute and elegant. So I had to hold back on my signature polka dots on my pages. That was very challenging to me! I have collected many vintage black, tarnished brass baubles, jewelry, and hardware. I have been keeping them in a small little suitcase just for my Sinister style Art. I have to share some pages and the Cover of the book....

I used a Vintage black leather phone book..... It was falling apart and very worn.. but just the book I needed.
I love this creepy image of this little girl.. I put her picture in a brass frame encased with diamond glaze. I am not done with the book... I want to work on it some more.. so very excited!
I have so much going on right now... We got a new Dog. My Dog Nikko passed away in October from bone cancer. It was one of the hardest losses I have ever experienced! It was my first dog. When my friends told me about how painful it was going to be... I really had no idea. It still hurts a little. Not as bad as when we had to put him down. So hard... Nothing prepares you.. nothing. I could not even talk about it until recently. I was ready to get a new BFF..... So after lurking on all the German Shepherd rescues for months now.. I was ready. I knew it had to be a rescue dog.. or a shelter dog. I went down on Saturday morning to walk the Shepherds ( you can volunteer to walk some pals before you make the decision to take one home).. I found him..... His new name is MAX.. no, he doesn't answer to his new name.. but he will. He is 1 1/2 years old, half the size of my Nikko... but just as smart and handsome... I did have second thoughts on Saturday night when he was crying all night.. pacing and nervous.. it was hard. I know it will get better. I will get happier in time... but I know I made the right decision.

What else? My little girl has been gone for 10 days now to Summer Camp in Miami. I miss her.. Terrible. The great thing about it though is that I get to catch up with girlfriends and get to go out. One of my Besties is Kelly. Kelly and I have known each other for 2 years now. We worked together in the same classroom and We went to UC Irvine last year together. We took the same courses..... and both got our Teaching degrees together. She is a great friend and very much like a sister to me.. I just adore her! Sometimes you meet people in your Life that you work with that become Family, it doesnt happen often, but when it does you are lucky. This is her.. I went to a Girls Weekend to Palm Springs .. and I had to take pictures of my Beautiful friend.. here she is... My Kell...
